A Strange Epiphany

GEEK OUT
verb

The very reason I created this blog was because of unconscious forces working in me a modest proposal: expression.

My posts so far seem to converge toward this idea:
harness your mental, your elementals, and cast your spell.

Living to me is having a sidewalk intersection atop a rift. And since the rift keeps expanding the sidewalk crumbles. So we must grab the trowel and concrete bucket and patch each opening before the structure gives in. Studious we are! Yet, time marches on… and eventually you ask: why? Why not just let the bridge fall apart? Sisyphus comes to mind.

And so that’s what I’m trying to get at. That many conclude it’s a grey world, stay close to their duties and not think too much. But when you reevaluate, you actually have this perfect spindle to explore on. You’re the one who chooses where the sidewalk goes after all, and it doesn’t stop there. Why not paint the sidewalk? Why not build stone walls, sculptures, a fountain and a grand hall? Maybe you can have a hotel, and in that hotel you can show off artifacts of your experience, ordered by fondness.

You can thread carpets instead of pour concrete. Revive the zephyr if you want. Wouldn’t it be cool to tend to water vapor instead? It’s yours to decide, to build, to explore. It’s not a fruitless treadmill, it’s a walk toward self-discovery (or nullification of the self and the opening of the Divine, or even an evolution of consciousness). Your tapestry. Sure, some may joke that you have onset schizophrenia. But they have grey concrete and you’re on cloud-9.

I’m quite intentional with the word geeking out. It is caring about stuff mostly alone because of a failure to understand or an inability for most people to care about what you care about. People come after if you want them, but whatever you geek about has to come first. That’s how you sculpt your sidewalk toward something completely unfathomable for the uninitiated, yet life-affirming and riveting among other initiates who may be there. To see the divine spark.

SO that’s my epiphany: geek out. And, in tandem, I realized that one can start today, whenever, because…

THE WEB IS A PERFECT PLACE TO GEEK OUT!

At least for me.
