funposting

Funposting here because I’m procrastinating and don’t want to go on any other sites anymore.

May as well funpost here if I’m going to post at all.

There’s nothing preventing you from pretending this is in fact a random thread online and there’s some discussion which you’ll be sure to add your three cents.

One can conjure the whole audience in a flicker and now we’re in our own Dialogues of yore.

I’m using my imagination because it’s the gateway for purity and sublime seeing.

And although there’s this gurgling within the cauldron, I will write that it doesn’t exist.

But I’m not sure why even mention something that didn’t exist.

I think it’s nice to have a linearity to things, is why.

There’s a pool and a bunch of drinks waiting around the corner. And ever since the discovery that sunscreen is in fact a scam and sun burning only reveals poor eating, everyone’s getting a tan. Thanks Science™! It explains why those with tans always look healthier.

It’s the type of pool that extends out into the skyline, as the fraternity somehow tapped enough Father shoulders to bring the private schooling along, reserving five floors in the process. So many young people around; you were hoping for a silent night, but this isn’t so bad either. Reminds you.

As the sun sets, right along the edge, you can’t help but take a sip of pink straw in satisfaction. Mango.

What’s nice about being up here is that there aren’t any of those things in the newspapers or in patients as well as in fervent hey-sayers. No need to hear a list of medication and diagnosing. No thanks. It’s just this sunset, some skin, an artificial palm tree and well-padded lounge chairs.

A shimmer of tree signals you to look around to notice that it’s well past night now. But the neon strings give you a general sense of the vicinity; enough to walk away but also to explore a little deeper.

Pulses of white give split-second reveals of the other bodies around you. It feels like a ritual that ends in evicting the body, strangely enough. Hopefully no one spiked your drink, but then you remember you’re the one who bought it from the vending machine in the lobby. Waltzing past the cafe area to grab that straw.

Strange how the pool expands with the shedding of the sun. Ink hosting half-bodies poking out from Eternity lying underneath.

Is this real? Well, in some ways, it already happened.
