Origin Story

Recently I finished Do It Yourself!! which you could guess the plot of. Wholesome ending with a simple message though.

And so while visiting the last imageboard that I bother with I then wondered how to fashion an imageboard differently, seeing as I use the medium so much (for better or for worse). I wouldn’t mind it to be more diy-esque or offer any alternative experience from what it has yielded through the years. Or just approach something slightly more than what it is: a transfer of pictures and lightly-fried conversations, sage’d whispers from a soul rarely heard.

So I made this account as a way to expand on this wonder, to maintain a longer-form medium; imageboards are ephermeral. And it’s a bonus to edit these thoughts in a document rather than a reply box.

Longer form may yield something more interesting than the default mode of replying to forget, tying sutures between replies that mimicks and yet immediately loses something lucid. Maybe. Maybe not, but it’s something else to do while procrastinating. Why not engage differently with something designed for a retreat?

So, there’s this repository, which holds the website. And then there’s the imgboard repository, which may host some imgboard software :-).

So concludes the introductory post.

Until next time!
