Threading Moments

The conventional (and easily confirmed) wisdom is the past has its bearings over you. Of course a habit of heroin will reveal itself in time.

But I would argue this wisdom isn’t absolute. You could shoot heroin for ten years, but today can be anything you want again.

What you usually did yesterday is what you’ll likely do today. I just think it’s nice to think about the magic between those decisions – a constellation of alternatives.

You could continue threading together the moments into something clear, put your trust it’ll mean something.

I just find it more liberating to start blank everyday.

It’s more fun to shed what-seems-necessary-but-isn’t-really.
