vampire

Vampires are the most human of all monsters out there, aren’t they? And they’re far more human than we’re led to think. To a point where I wouldn’t mind being one myself.

There are some drawbacks – as with all occupations. But the bonus of flying and simplifying your food sources seems all right to me. If anything, it would be a gentle push to learn how to transmute others’ urge for drama and action and feeling alive. Letting blood drip out in pulses does remind you of the heartbeat and stirs up some widened eyes.

Although such a proposition is not within the cards today, there are gentler forms of vampirism. Which leads, today, to this post: Energy vampirism.

Write it off as sleepless nights but the tiredness extends itself. How I would love to find other forms of energy, or to at least renew a faith in engaging. Is it a sin if others are desperate to give up theirs? That’s the function of most entertainment out there, a hush lull of day into night.

One foot is left in the door due to how lovely it’d be to extract away energy from people around. Marketing comes to mind, among other things.

Maybe it’s a delusion though. Surely you’re aware of what I mean, at least; to perk up for a moment as others’ lend their energy toward you.

Usually though it ends up with me walking out with less than I came in. Everyone’s a casino I suppose.

When was the last time you were left energized by another?
